Oscar Speace
Co-Director

   Oscar is an Emmy-winning television producer and writer and director of several screen and stage plays.

   For more than 20 years, he has produced and directed a wide range of television programming for the Public Broadcasting System and the American Boadcasting System.

  Oscar’s first TV recognition was for an Emmy nomination as Producer/Director of Conquest of My Brother, a documentary about the treaty making and breaking policy of the U.S. and how it has affected Native American.

   He produced and directed The Janice Noga Homecoming Concert at the Bastille Stage in Hanford, CA. As a screenwriter, his credits include The Station, The Great Marble Shoot, Ottawa Summer, The Last Hanging and Janka.

   Oscar created and produced Janka, the one-character play, based on a letter his mother wrote following liberation from Nazi concentration camps.

   Oscar is best known in California’s Central Valley for his two Emmy’s won as part of the ABC 30 news production team and for his National Public Television award for producing the best television auction in the U.S. for KVPT-TV in Fresno, CA. As the creator and producer of Valley Press, on KVPT since 1989, he has produced over 500 programs featuring leading and local national government leaders and Hollywood stars. He has directed theatrical and political television remotes including the Electric Light Orchestra and John Regna’s Imperial Circus from the Hilton Theater in Reno, NV and the first broadcast of a California Supreme Court session which aired on The California Channel.f four screenplays.

David Speace

   Dave has been in the television and film  industry for over 20 years. After graduating from Temple University Film  School, he started as production
intern for The Mike Douglas Show.  Subsequent television work included production for ABC Sports and NBC Sports, (a highlight being work on the World Series in 1980)  He has also done production work for several corporations
including Wren Associates, ITS Corporation, American Standard, Mobil, Bell of
Pennsylvania, AT&T,  Shared Medical Systems, AmeriSource, Cephalon and Viro Pharma, among others.

   Dave started his own production company, DZP Video/Multimedia, Inc. and took the company into full time operation in 1985. Through his company, his work has included corporate communications projects, computer graphics, animation, video production and broadcast assignments. He has lensed assignments for NBC News, The Today Show, ESPN and Inside Edition (a highlight being work on the 2000 Republican National Convention for NBC4, Wash, DC).  Video news release assignments for biotechnology clients have been seen on 20/20 and various media outlets throughout the country.
   Awards and other experience include:
-Silver AMI, Flame Award and four Communicator Awards for his recognized work
in corporate video production.
- Steadicam operator for the digital feature film, Waiting,  shot on location in Pennsylvania. Released in the Spring of 2000. No Dance and Brooklyn Film Festival award winner.
- Director of Photography for In His Wake.
- Director for The Making of Waiting ...behind the scenes documentary of Waiting.
- Produced and directed 30 Year Run, an award winning documentary about a teacher's 30 years directing high school  theater.
- Producer/director of short film Hey, America!
- Producer of  video news releases and television commercials.
- President of professional  association.
- Professor of college and university courses on film,  photography and other audio/visual media.
- Professional photographer.
